2006 award to the Clifton Ave elementary School This award is something the Lakewood Rotary Club was proud to award. It made a huge difference to the grade school kids at the Clifton School. The money goes to the media center at the school. Last year, a large amount of brand new school books were purchased for the school. Most of the books were checked out within days and were on large waiting lists. We need more books.

Guest speaker - Dr Chanler's Daughter The Doctors daughter is graduating medical school at the time of the meeting. She spent time in Guatemala helping a village medical clinic get back in shape after the town had a horrible mud slid that covered parts of the town in 12 feet of mud.
The Lakewood Rotary Club of Lakewood, NJ is looking for prescription and non prescription sunglasses. We'll accept any amount that you have. One person just sent us 50 of them. USED IS FINE. The Lakewood Rotary Club meets every Wednesday night, 6:15pm at the View Restaurant at the Eagle Ridge County Club on Cross St in Lakewood. Eagle Ridge is located 1/2 mile east of Prospect St. If you own a business in the local area or are a business person or a professional that would like to make a difference in your community, you are invited to come to a Rotary meeting and dinner and see if this is something you'd like to get involved in.
